Plastic bottle Recycling - Doing Our Part

Desert Cleanup Image

Plastic Bottle Recycling

It's no secret, we use a lot of single-use plastic water bottles. Our clients and staff engage in physically demanding activities daily. Be it motorbike tours or motocross training, riding in the heat of the day in the desert requires adequate hydration.

We use around 2,500 plastic water bottles per month during our peak season. This equates to around 40kg of waste plastic, every month!

We are conscious of our contribution to plastic waste and are actively striving to reduce our footprint by recycling all of our PET plastic bottle waste.

We have done our homework and found a company that is as passionate about both growth and sustainability as we are, and innovative in their approach to bringing these together. DGrade is a Dubai-based recycling and manufacturing company that is turning plastic waste into clothing and accessories for retail. We love this concept!

Plastic Bottle Collection

To help streamline our recycling efforts, we have placed blue, plastic-bottle-only bins around MotoZone. We are calling on all our loyal community riders and valued clients to help us help our environment by disposing of your empty water bottles in these bins.

If you're inclined to get involved and do your part, we will gladly accommodate your own household PET plastic waste. Simply bring it with you to MotoZone and dump it in either the big green plastic waste bin next to the wash bay or any of the blue bins around our facility.

We spend a significant amount of time roaming around the desert on two and four-wheels alike. It is always a pleasure when the landscape is mostly untouched and clean. However, there are areas and places where waste is a real eye-sore; not to mention posing a very real risk to the lives of wildlife and livestock. MotoZone is driving a Desert Clean-Up initiative whereby we head out on a trash-collecting mission with our team and any volunteers who support our cause.

If you're interested in getting involved, keep an eye out on our social platforms for the next clean-up mission and come and join us in keeping our sandy backyard beautiful and clean.
